GFH will build a pedestrian and cyclist overpass over the A1 in Gaia.
Today, the agreement for the construction of a pedestrian and cyclist overpass over the A1, in the Jardins da Arrábida area, was formalized in a ceremony held in Vila Nova de Gaia. The infrastructure, led by GFH, will connect Colégio Cedros, the Jardins da Arrábida area, and the future Rubi Line station of the Porto Metro, promoting safe and sustainable mobility in the region.
The project will overcome the physical barrier of the highway, benefiting not only the school community but also all residents and users of the area, constituting an added value for urban mobility and local quality of life.
GFH will be responsible for the construction of the overpass, while the Municipality of Gaia will carry out the necessary interventions to upgrade the public space to connect the overpass to the metro station.
The ceremony was attended by the Mayor of Vila Nova de Gaia, Eduardo Vítor Rodrigues, accompanied by members of the municipal executive and the GFH management, among other entities involved in the project.
