Baluarte - Porto Art Square
Cultural Affairs will be present at the third edition of Baluarte – Urban Art Exhibition, taking place from October 24 to 26 at Silo Auto, in Porto, represented by Juliana Almeida, the group’s Project Director.
The talk “Urban Art as a Cultural Strategy” will take place on Sunday, October 26, from 5:00 p.m. to 5:45 p.m., on Level 7 of Silo Auto, featuring Luís Lobato (Expanding Roots) and André Carvalho (Circus), and will be moderated by Lígia Ferro. During the session, topics related to Porto Art Square and its role in promoting urban art in the city will also be discussed.
The discussion aims to reflect on how urban art has evolved from a one-off intervention into a driving force for cultural and urban development, presenting and debating current and future projects in this field.
Baluarte is an initiative by Ágora – Culture and Sports, which transforms Silo Auto into a gallery dedicated to the most contemporary expressions of urban art, bringing together national and international artists throughout the weekend.
